N Korea suspends talks with South over their joint drills with US

North Korea announced on Wednesday that it would be suspending May 16 talks with South Korea over ongoing joint military drills conducted by Seoul and Washington DC, Sputnik reported. According to Yonhap News reports, the Max Thunder drills being carried out by South Korea and the US were a rehearsal for an invasion of North Korea, which the North deemed a “provocation.”

Report: Human Rights Group Not Publicizing North Korea Findings for Fear of ‘Agitating’
