Four Takeaways From The Latest Round Of Gaza Clashes

It began with an attempt by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) to plant an improvised explosive device on the security fence separating Israel from the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, and ended with a near full-scale conflagration on a scale not seen since the summer of 2014. Tensions for the time being have tapered off but the recent fighting demonstrates why the Israeli Army (IDF) maintains a constant state of readiness along its volatile borders.

On Sunday, security forces monitoring the Gaza border detected an object attached to the border fence. Upon closer examination, it turned out to be a bolt cutter of the type used by Palestinian rioters to breach the fence in weeks prior. A remote controlled robot was sent in to inspect and remove the object utilizing a long cord. During the course of removal, the bolt cutter exploded. Fortunately, no one was injured but the situation could have just as easily resulted in casualties.

PIJ terrorists who planted the IED were then spotted manning a nearby observation post. An Israeli Merkava IV tank fired at the OP instantly killing two PIJ operatives. A third was mortally wounded and died soon after. Islamic Jihad swore vengeance.

Two days later, southern Israeli border towns and communities came under intense indiscriminate rocket and mortar bombardment. A kindergarten was hit but fortunately, the children had not yet arrived. Over the course of 22 hours, Hamas and PIJ fired over 100 rockets and mortars, 25 of which were shot down by Israel’s anti-rocket defense system, Iron Dome. According to military sources, the system also succeeded in intercepting incoming mortar rounds, a first in the annals of warfare. There were no fatalities but there was some property damage and three IDF soldiers were wounded, two lightly and one moderately. A civilian was also lightly injured.

The unprovoked attacks inevitably drew Israeli retaliatory strikes which came in two waves. Some 65 Hamas and PIJ positions were targeted including a U-shaped, two-kilometer long tunnel that extended into both Egypt and Israel. It was to be used for smuggling contraband as well as for facilitating terrorist attacks. Rocket and weapons storage facilities were also hit and destroyed. A Hamas naval armory which the army said contained “advanced, unmanned submarine vessels, capable of maritime infiltration and carrying out maritime terror attacks,” was hit and destroyed as well.

Israel informed Hamas through intermediaries that if it continued its attacks, the IDF was prepared to conduct a large-scale military operation, similar to those conducted in 2009 and 2014. Hamas, still smarting from the defeats of 2009 and 2014, understood that Israel meant business and ordered its operatives as well as the PIJ to cease fire. The question is how long will the cease fire hold? The answer to that is anyone’s guess.

Nevertheless, the recent round of fighting highlighted several interesting takeaways. First, the discovery of a Hamas tunnel in Egypt is likely to further strain relations between Egypt and Hamas. Egypt has accused Hamas of aiding Islamist terrorists in northern Sinai and the revelation of a Hamas-dug tunnel in Egypt further erodes Hamas’s credibility in the eyes of the Egyptian government.

Second, the Iron Dome system continues to impress. In 2014, Iron Dome succeeded in shooting down rockets but had yet been incapable of downing mortar rounds. In 2014, a mortar round fired from a Gaza school killed a four-year-old Israeli boy named Daniel Tragerman, who lived in a kibbutz near the border. Modifications and software upgrades to Iron Dome have enabled the system to now have the ability to intercept incoming mortar rounds. This is an unprecedented development in warfare.

Third, during the Obama years, Israel received equivocal support at best, when it carried out anti-terror operations against Islamist terrorist groups. Europe, taking cue from Obama, was downright hostile. But in the latest round, Israel received unequivocal political support from both the United States and the European Union, while Hamas was roundly condemned. This positive development signals a seismic shift in favor of Israel and may have been a contributing factor in Hamas’s decision to call it quits. Hamas recognizes that in any confrontation with Israel, it will lose both militarily and politically, whereas in the past, it at least had a chance of scoring political points.

Fourth, the malevolent role of the Iranian regime in stoking the recent round of violence cannot be overlooked. Iran has its fingerprints all over this one. Hamas and Islamic Jihad leaders have readily and publicly acknowledged that they receive aid in the form of cash, training and weapons from Iran. For years, the Iranians have been cultivating proxies to do their bidding and these Palestinian groups are willing participants. Iran has recently been on the receiving end of some sharp blows from Israel, and the mullahs were looking for a way to strike back but without engaging Israel in direct confrontation. Gaza appeared to be Iran’s venue of choice. Nevertheless, despite Hamas’s dependence on Iran, the group still exercises some independent thought, and they wisely cried uncle for they recognized that this was a battle they had no hope of winning.

A Young Man With the Biggest Balls in Texas is Gone: R.I.P. Christian Garcia

I’ll get to Christian Garcia in a moment, but first – my heart goes out on this weekend to the victims and their families, friends, neighbors, fellow students and staff at Santa Fe High School near Galveston – as well as all the good people of the great state of Texas.

One of the most heinous attacks ever seen at a Texas school occurred on Friday, May 18th when 9 students and 1 teacher were killed in the mass-school shooting which left ten others were wounded by the 17-year-old shooter and fellow student at Santa Fe High School.

I can tell you this: From here forward, I’m fed up and done talking and writing about active shooters, mass shootings at schools, sociopaths, guns, mental health experts, rules of engagement and just in case you’re wondering – yes – I’m putting my money where my mouth is.

It’s been 20 years since Columbine. Now think about that. Go ahead, think about 20 years passing – I’ll give you a few minutes:

All the bullshit talk and posturing by politicians. Michael Moore and his stupid movie – “Bowling” for Columbine – yeah, you’re about as clever as making armpit farts, Mike.

Then there’s the irrational lies and disingenuous blaming of inanimate objects for the actions of murderous sociopaths, or confused and angry children – bereft of love or purpose – hepped up for years on psychotropic pills prescribed en masse by lazy psycho “doctors,” simply because no one wanted to take time out from their own selfish lives to really help them cope.

Bla bla bla bla bla blab bla blah – I’m done. After 20 years of experts, authorities, regulations, talk shows, political agendas and endless platitudes what do we have to show for it?

Just dozens more dead innocent school kids. Dead. Gone.

They’re not out having a blast this Memorial Day weekend with their families and friends OR visiting the cemetery where great-grandad lies – you know – the guy who trudged across Europe in his bare feet to kill Nazis, climbed into a tin can and submerged under the Pacific to fight Tojo’s Navy, or stared down Rommel’s tanks in North Africa?

Yeah, that guy. That guy WHO GAVE YOU THIS INTERNET?

Those dead kids will never get to be cool, as Neil Young says. And why? Because nobody does anything. They just talk. And talk. And then talk some more… Well, it’s over sports fans – time for you and me to trudge across our own country and protect our children in the classroom and do it now.

Here’s what I’m doing and I’d like you to read on and perhaps reach out if you give a damn. If you don’t, then just keep watching this new reality show called; “Let’s shoot up the next school, then blame everybody for a couple weeks till the next one comes along: Rinse and Repeat.”

Think I’m an a-hole? Would it surprise you if I said I agree with that assessment? Kinda hoping you’ll also agree with George Bernard Shaw when he said “all progress depends on the unreasonable man.” .. He was talking about a-holes like me, btw. But I digress.. Don’t worry, I’m getting to Christian’s story.

I’ve been deeply involved in a project which has the potential to touch all your lives and virtually anyone in the country with kids or grandkids. It will take resolute action – not just talk – coupled with the will to employ rigorous and unflinching solutions to not only reduce but eradicate these horrific events. Yes, I know of all the increased security, expanded mental health measures, improved training for law enforcement, calls for more gun-control, posturing and lecturing by politicians on and on and on it goes..

But all of this and more were present in Parkland, Florida and Santa Fe High School in Texas and yet: Twenty-two murdered children, dozens injured, and hundreds traumatized – some for life. Obviously there must be a safe alternative to protecting our kids in class rooms other what we’re doing now – which is not working.

SO: What’s the solution, Rodney Lee?

Soon after the horrific incident at Santa Fe High School, which is near Galveston, Texas; ‘SwiftShield’ – the company I’ve joined up with in the fight to secure and lock-down school classrooms – allowed me to develop an innovative program I believe will cut through the red tape and politics which is enabling this continued slaughter of innocent school children. In fact, I know it will.

It’s called the S.O.S – ‘Shield Our Schools’ initiative and it’s quite unique in that ‘SwiftShield’ is now partnering with several of its large corporate sponsors and others to outfit schools all over the country with their line of devices which easily and effectively lock-down classrooms in the event of another one of these attacks.

We’re putting our money where our mouth’s are – along with other private-sector entities who are exasperated with the lack of a government answer to this very real and deadly problem. In fact, I can make you a great case that government actions are making this problem worse: FAR worse. Keep reading.

What first drew my attention to ‘SwiftShield’ a year ago, is the effectiveness of these products – they lock-down classrooms instantly in the event of an active-shooter or similar threats, can withstand thousands of pounds of pressure and stop bullets from hand guns, military-style weapons and shotguns – I’ve seen it.

And now, the entire design, product and system installation doesn’t cost the school or district a penny – it’s all handled by our corporate partners, sponsors and donors who are ready and willing right now to get involved to help our students be safe during these threats. That way we’re not even having a conversation about school budgets or costs conflicting with teacher pay or books, etc. It’s free to the schools.

As we speak, we are in the process of outfitting every classroom in the Santa Fe ISD, free of charge. That means the designing and installing of the SwiftShield system in every classroom on every door in all eight schools in the entire district – completely cost-free. It’s all being handled by corporate sponsorship.

Now get this: All public schools everywhere – in every State – can apply and receive a complete classroom active-shooter emergency system installed through the ‘Shield Our Schools’ initiative, absolutely free of cost. The funding is handled outside of any expenditures by the schools or districts themselves. In the past two months alone, this could have saved the lives of twenty kids at bare minimum – probably more.

So, as the headline stated, I did want to tell you about a 15-year-old student named Christian Garcia: If you haven’t heard about Christian, you should have – and you should share this article with everyone in your email contact list because Christian Garcia died a hero: And he had the biggest balls in Texas.

While the bullets were flying inside Santa Fe High School, Christian died while blocking the door from the attacker to give other students time to escape. He stood steadfast as long as he could, waving other students away and giving his classmates those precious seconds they needed – even as shots ripped through the door locks and then through his body.

As honorable and heroic as Christian was, I don’t believe a kid should ever be put in a position to have to make that choice. Does anyone believe Christian would have done great things in life had he survived? Anyone think his name is a coincidence? Not me.

take a look. a long look. that’s what a superhero looks like.

Which is why we’re (that means you and me, friendo) are now on a mission to get a SwiftShield door barricade device into every Santa Fe ISD classroom and then every door in the country. You and I both know in our hearts that it’s no longer a question of “if” but a matter of “when” and this seems to me to be the answer to not only get through the ugly politics of this mess, but a perfect solution to the question of already cash-strapped school budgets. Blam!

This is a no-brainer, dudes and dudettes. There’s a willingness and money to do this right now – in droves – everyone wants to help, we just need to get the information to them. Crazy right? Wrong. It’s happening.

Kids have the right to go to school get an education, participate in athletics, after-school projects, or go to the prom without worrying about being gunned down because government has failed at every level. I pray to God I never have to go through what these families are going through and I’m sure you feel the same about your family.

Nothing will change if we don’t stand up and help save lives by buying time and giving first responders those precious extra minutes when every second counts. SwiftShield is looking for corporate partners to donate products through the S.O.S. CAMPAIGN “ Shield Our Schools”  that allows schools to get free secondary safety Devices and not at the tax payers dollar since the government won’t stand up and protect them . And if you are a business that wants to do something to protect our kids let me know.

If you are a fellow warrior – write me and tell me you’re going to walk one of these into your local high school and say; “why don’t we have these yesterday – they’re free?rodney@swiftshield.com

kinda fired up, aren’t I?

He Had Been Away For Months, So When He Snuck Up And Surprised Her, The Reaction Is Priceless

It’s no surprise that dog videos end up receiving thousands of views in a matter of minutes, as they are often uplifting and solidify the fact that dogs are truly man’s best friend. There have been a wide array of dog videos that have become instantly popular from a cute pup who sounds like he is barking actual words to a more somber video of a dog who laid by his military partner’s casket during the funeral.

Regardless of the tone of the video, dogs always have a way of amazing us. In one of the most recent videos, it is the reaction of the dog that is causing a stir. After Freya the German Shepard was separated from her owner for months, she was overcome with emotion when the two were reunited.

Freya’s owner can be seen sneaking around the back of the building while the dog sitter gets ready to release him and reunite him with the owner. As soon as she sees her owner, she races toward him and starts barking as if to ask him where he has been all this time. She wiggles, wags and jumps up on her owner, not holding any of her excitement back.

The excitement continues for quite some time and she squeals in delight. She even gets up on her hind legs and rests her front paws on her dad’s shoulders, while licking his face. Freya’s owner looks just as delighted to see her as she is to see him and it’s obvious the two have a deep bond. Her owner sits down on the ground and lets Freya snuggle up on his lap while she continues to squeal. She finally starts to settle down a bit when she rolls over on her back and gets some good belly rubs from her owner.

Dogs are true lovers and as long as they are taken care of and loved back, they will do anything to be with their owners. Known as the most loyal of all pets, dogs have a neverending desire to be with their people.

Commenters shared their thoughts on the adorable and uplifting moment…

“Did you hear her say I love you? Start the tape at 29 seconds and you will hear it several times. Beautiful. Did you hear?”

And proving that all pups are dedicated to their owners, one commenter shared a bit about the greeting that he gets from his pup every single day…

“My puppy does that when I come home from school.”

Others shared the deep dedication that they have for their own pup…

“What a sweet dog, she loves you…. mine does the same thing with me…I now have another ex because she was too jealous of my beautiful German Shepard…she gave me a choice…her or the dog. I thought for less than a second…I can always trust my dog and she would never betray me.”

There is a pretty good chance you would never see a cat showing such signs of affection and dedication to their owner, and it is for this reason that dogs are very special pets.

Their Whole Routine Changed 3 Seconds Into Their Audition, And Left The Judges In Disbelief

When three glamorously dressed women stepped onto the stage in Britain’s Got Talent, you could see Simon Cowell’s eyes light up with lust. They wore tight, short, sequined dresses and stood in high heels. And as he examined their bodies with his eyes, the women stood tall and confident and were ready to show Cowell their talent. They were not going to let him intimidate them into a lackluster performance. However, as the music starts, the three women shock the judges when they transform before their eyes.

The group of three singers came from the Philippines and performed under the group name of Miss Tres. They told Simon that their goal in life was to become the next girl group sensation. Because Simon Cowell is known for his passion for boy bands, Miss Tres hoped he’d see their potential and help push them into stardom.

“We would like to be like Destiny’s Child. Girl power!”

Cowell could not deny that Miss Tres looked the part. He found them very pretty. But could they sing? Did they have good voices? That’s what he was eager to discover about this singing group from the Philippines.

Before they start their performance, the group chats with the judges and tells them all about their high aspirations. And they described how they were willing to do what it took to get to the top of the charts and the hearts of a worldwide audience.

After the introductions are complete, Cowell wishes them luck, and they pick up their microphones and prepare to perform for the strict judges.

“Well, good luck,” Cowell says with a smirk. “Hope it goes well.”

Suddenly, the song “Sex Bomb” blasts from the speakers. The song has a quick beat, and the audience instantly feeds off the group’s strong feminine energy. But as they open their mouth to sing, everyone – but most especially Simon Cowell – cannot believe the way their voices sound.

The performance delivered a twist they could never have predicted. Miss Tres was not comprised of what people had expected. They were a transgender women group.

But as the immediate shock wears off, the judges get into the performance. They enjoy the sound of their voices and their stage presence. And one judge even rises from his chair to dance around the judge’s booth. He’s into Miss Tres. And so is Cowell.

Although this was not a traditional audition for Britain’s Got Talent, Cowell loved that they were not what he had expected. Because he has seen “everything,” he is always excited when he gets surprised or when his assumptions are proven very, very wrong.

If you enjoy a good performance, this audition is a must see. You’re going to love seeing Cowell’s reaction as well as the other judges when they realize Miss Tres is not the group they expected to step on their stage. The performers in the group are between the ages of thirty-five and forty-three. But they seem much younger. Just take a minute and watch this 2-minute talent audition.

What do you think about this international singing group’s performance?

Teen Was Dead For 20 Minutes Before Being Revived. Here’s What He Claims Jesus Said To Him

A Texas teenager collapsed on the school track during a PE class and suffered cardiac arrest. After 20 minutes without a heartbeat, he was revived, and he claims he died and saw Jesus. Now, people are listening to sixteen year old Zach Clements as he shares a fantastic story of dieing and meeting Jesus Christ. Even the local news is broadcasting his story of a miracle. You have to here him tell the story himself.

By all accounts, sixteen year old Zach Clements has had a profound experience.

The student at Victory Life Academy in Brownsville, Texas was, by any measure, a normal and healthy young man in the making. He had moderately good grades, played on the school football team, the “Warriors”, and had a great sense of humor.

But then last week, while running laps during PE class, he collapsed. First responders worked on him as they rushed him to the emergency room. He had gone into cardiac arrest and his heart stopped beating for almost twenty minutes. Doctors at the hospital were just about to stop attempting to revive him when he suddenly, and some say miraculously, regained consciousness.

But shortly after, he began to tell a story of something even more “miraculous”: while unconscious, Zach claims he was greeted by a bearded man with long curly hair. Zach says he instantly knew he was in the presence of Jesus Christ, and that the man put his hand on the boy’s shoulder and reassured him that everything would be alright.

Since being reported by the local television news station, his story has stirred up a huge number of comments on the internet, with people saying things like:

“Jesus becomes a reality when you show faith. God wants your faith and you find the creator by giving your life to Jesus. I was a Buddhist for 20years until Jesus woke me up. My life now is beyond words. Comes to Jesus who died On a cross to save us. He is a living reality.”- One Tru God

“So many see Jesus Christ because he is Alive and the one and True Living God.”- Taylor Kara

“Praise Jesus!!! Thank you Lord for protecting my brother in Christ and returning him to his family. Thank you Jesus!”- Beau Truex

“Wow beautiful story I love you Jesus I praise you and I worship you forever my lord.”- Alexi Gonzales

Of course, a claim this outrageous, with no substantial evidence, has also stirred a lot of skepticism from many people as well, ranging from healthy objectivity to the downright hostile..

“In this video Zack says Jesus had a kinda thick beard, but in the other video of him still in the hospital bed, Zack said Jesus had long hair and no beard. So which is it Zack?”- Anon.

“The fact that the news reported it is a miracle.”- John Fast

“This doesn’t even make sense. He died during 20 min and just woke up days later, so what he saw was all dreaming during those days, not the fucking 20 min he died. He wouldn’t fucking know the difference between being dead and sleeping, he was unconscious. You must be really stupid to actually believe this crap.”- Moonbeeps

So what do you think? Is this kid’s experience profound but personal, or did he actually see Christ? Share your thoughts with us here.
