No Man Is Illegal

I was one of five men who had spent weeks cleaning up a long-abandoned city building cluttered with trash and debris from collapsing infrastructure. Our project to open a soup kitchen to help support the local community of illiterate migrants and mentally ill homeless people was nearing completion.

While loading chunks of broken concrete from a pile of rubble into my hauling bucket, I noticed a strange luminescent lamp laying on its side. The lamp seemed sturdy and I rubbed off its grime to reveal a golden surface embossed with intricate designs. It rumbled violently and large blue genie burst out before me and began levitating.

With a booming voice he told me that my unselfish actions had freed him from centuries of systemic oppression and now he would reward me with three wishes.

Most people wish for love or world peace but with my first wish I asked to be made immensely wealthy — not for my own purposes of course, as I don’t care much for money, but so I could buy my mom a house and ostentatiously donate to food shelters and asinine social causes that make me feel superior to the hopelessly impoverished.

The genie nodded that he understood my brave wish, closed his eyes, hummed loudly, and a few seconds later many billions were now mine to use for any purpose I deemed ethical. Looking around, it seemed nothing much had changed with the world. Some numbers in a bank account were different and I had stacks of paper and gold sitting somewhere, but everything else seemed normal. I took a deep breath and kept going.

For my second wish, I looked the genie deep in his vacant eyes and told him I wished that no man was illegal. He snickered derisively at me before clearing his throat and looking down to regain his composure. He then continued with the customary gesture of waving his hands magically and acknowledged my command had been fulfilled.

It turned out this time there were a few side effects I hadn’t considered. For example, I had failed to consider that a nation’s only lasting wealth is its people and that capabilities for civilization among populations differ greatly, so borders have historically acted as a bank vault storing the wealth of nations by securing their population. Also, being accustomed to first world standards, I had assumed these were normal and natural throughout the world, which turned out not to be the case at all.

With no man illegal, nations were rendered borderless and those with civilization were immediately flooded by low-IQ high time preference third worlders trying to get to where people had built something good. It was quite a shock to find out 90% of the world is a disaster of poor people with low intelligence barely able to figure out food, clothing, and shelter, and almost entirely unable to plan or organize.

During a sober moment, they looked around at their countrymen, realized they would never develop civilization, and decided the best course of action was to flee their homelands to get away from the mass of people possessing the same traits as themselves, which in the aggregate had created their national conditions of colossal failure.

The previously successful nations that were now borderless quickly lost their unity and shared notion of common sense in the frenzied greed of peasant fantasies where each took as much as they could while shirking responsibilities and accountability. It was looting in slow motion.

This worldwide revolution made history obsolete by removing divisions between the people who developed nations and those who wanted to enjoy what was beyond their station. Developments that took hardy people many centuries to achieve found their nourishing populations replaced by millions of incapables unable to keep civilization afloat. Worst of all, because they knew they were intruding squatters unable to achieve basic standards, the migrants hated the natives for their abilities and openly wished for their downfall.

Wealthy nations became poor overnight and the work of good people was diverted to trying to fix problems created by the imported population. Some natives tried to build a nation within a nation in an effort to preserve their culture and its essential aspects that now struggled under the weight of chaotic disunity. Infrastructure and institutions could no longer manage clean up on the messes of outsiders, and even after sacrificing the possibility of keeping a high level of culture, there was not enough wealth and energy to hold things together. A free fall to a sustainable third world standard ensued.

With my third wish, I asked the genie to restore lawful borders. He snickered again and this time I felt silly from the realization that I needed an appointment at the laser removal clinic to take care of that embarrassing leftist slogan tattoo that seemed so edgy when I was a teenager.

Washington Dingbats Want Your Guns

Awake before it’s too late.

If you are a believer of what our forefathers wrote in the constitution and then amended it because the founders realized the dangers of government control, you are the minority.

They and we believe the Second Amendment was considered essential for its citizens to be armed to protect the rights for which they fought and died to  free themselves from the yoke of King George III who was really (Mad King George) during  part of his reign.

Today, in the United States, the central faction within the Democrat Party stems from Vladimir Ulyanov, better known as Vladimir Lenin who founded Communism and led the Bolshevik Party until the advent of Stalin or Stalinism an even more ruthless, murderous regime.

The Tsar abdicated his position in 1917 and within days, he and his family were prisoners of Lenin who authorized their murder to eliminate any possibility of Tsarism’s return.  The ruthlessness of Lenin was openly revealed and instrumental in   creating Russia into a totally controlled authoriarian state.

The methodology of Lenin was first to promise the Russian populace their needs such as basic food and sustenance.    The Russian people were destitute and totally sick of war and the terrible military losses,  so Lenin’s promises were openly accepted.

THE THREAT IS NOW IN OUR COUNTRY

The United States is in a state of rapid revisionism, a significant part of a plan to institute sophisticated Communism that Vladimir Lenin formulated, but lacked the foresight to train generations through our public schools.

The plan installs utopian ideas imbedded from the time a child enters the first grade.  What is interesting is that the parents are the radical dope smoking, fornicating misanthropes, who swayed to the rock music of Jimmy Hendricks strumming and pounding his guitar.  These were the core generation whose morals stemmed from the Biblical days of Sodom and Gomorrah. The misfits of the sixties were parents of the 2018 politically indoctrinated leaders of today’s communist revolution.

THE SECOND AMENDMENT MUST NOT BE A MYTH OF THE PAST WHERE AMERICANS ARE NOTHING BUT SLAVES TO THE WASHINGTON’S SWAMP LEADERS.

WE MUST STAND UP AND SUPPORT GUNOWNERS OF AMERICA AND THE NATIONAL RIFILE ASSOCIATION SO THEY CAN HELP US SAVE OUR NATION.

Almost all species on Earth today came into being at about the same time, scientific study declares

What David Thaler of the University of Basel in Switzerland said about a scientific study he co-authored — and that was just published by journal Human Evolution — underscores how shocking his findings were even to him.

“This conclusion is very surprising,” he told Agence France-Presse, “and I fought against it as hard as I could.”

What’s so surprising?

Thaler and his co-author Mark Stoeckle of the Rockefeller University in New York discovered that nine out of 10 species on Earth today, including humans, came into being at roughly the same time — 100,000 to 200,000 years ago, AFP reported.

In other words, 90 percent of animal life — genetically speaking — is about the same age, the outlet noted.

Furthermore, the pair’s study turns on its head the long-held notion that species with large populations spread over the globe — again, humans, for example — will become more genetically diverse over time, AFP said.

But Stoeckle told the outlet that’s not the case, noting that animal genetic diversity is generally “about the same.”

It’s all in DNA ‘barcodes’

The scientists analyzed DNA “barcodes” across 100,000 species and found a sign that showed almost all animals emerged about the same time as humans, AFP reported.

More from the outlet:

What they saw was a lack of variation in so-called “neutral” mutations, which are the slight changes in DNA across generations that neither help nor hurt an individual’s chances of survival.

In other words, they were irrelevant in terms of the natural and sexual drivers of evolution.

How similar or not these “neutral” mutations are to each other is like tree rings — they reveal the approximate age of a species.

Which brings us back to our question: why did the overwhelming majority of species in existence today emerge at about the same time?

Some theories are offered (but not the one you’re probably thinking)

Jesse Ausubel, director of the Program for the Human Environment at the Rockefeller University, told AFP that environmental trauma is one possibility.

“Viruses, ice ages, successful new competitors, loss of prey — all these may cause periods when the population of an animal drops sharply,” he told the outlet in reference to the study. “In these periods, it is easier for a genetic innovation to sweep the population and contribute to the emergence of a new species.”

Stoeckle offered to AFP that “the simplest interpretation is that life is always evolving. It is more likely that — at all times in evolution — the animals alive at that point arose relatively recently.”

More from the outlet:

In this view, a species only lasts a certain amount of time before it either evolves into something new or goes extinct.

And yet — another unexpected finding from the study — species have very clear genetic boundaries, and there’s nothing much in between.

“If individuals are stars, then species are galaxies,” said Thaler. “They are compact clusters in the vastness of empty sequence space.”

The absence of “in-between” species is something that also perplexed Darwin, he said.

Your Daughter, Somebody Else’s Son

A reader in Massachusetts forwards this story about a bill before the Massachusetts legislature that would ban any therapy designed to change a person’s homosexual orientation, or belief that they are transgender. From the piece:

In the midst of a recent trend, Massachusetts is not at the forefront but may be reaching for the pinnacle. Eleven other states have banned conversion therapy, including New Hampshire earlier this month. But the Massachusetts bill is unusual, says Andrew Beckwith, president of the Massachusetts Family Institute.

“Similar legislation has been passed in a number of states, but this is the first time that helping your child feel comfortable in their own body could brand you a child abuser,” said Beckwith, whose organization advocates for Judaeo-Christian family values on Beacon Hill. “This is a bill that would allow the state to take away your daughter and make her someone else’s son.”

But [bill advocate Carl] Sciortino says the bill is necessary and humane.

“I think our opponents are delusional and adding to the culture of child abuse if they cannot accept that there are gay people in this world and transgender people in this world and we are who we are and no amount of quackery or child abuse will change that,” Sciortino said.

Do you see what they’re doing here? They are conflating homosexuality with transgenderism. Whatever one thinks of homosexuality and its mutability, there is very clear evidence that the great majority of children and teenagers who consider themselves transgender ultimately resolve their dysphoria in favor of their biological sex. We’re talking 80 percent and more. That does not happen with homosexuality. This clearly indicates that transgenderism is far, far less ingrained than homosexuality.

Transgender activists and fellow-traveling advocates are trying to piggyback transgenderism onto homosexuality as a legal, medical, and cultural strategy. As the reader writes:

The Therapy Ban in CA is bad, but this bill in MA may be even worse. It requires, among other things, that counseling a gender confused child to feel comfortable in their own body be labeled as child abuse under state law and that a Dept of Children and Families investigation be initiated against the parents and therapist. So, if you don’t believe your child is trans and you try to get them help, the therapist loses their license and you lose your child.

If you are a parent of a transgender child, your child has an overwhelming likelihood that he or she will desist at some point. If this bill passes in Massachusetts, you will not be able to get your child therapy that does anything other than encourage them in their trans identity — and no therapist will be able to do otherwise, even if the therapist believes the child is not truly transgender.

The “but science!” crowd is substituting ideology for medicine here. More to the point, the bill would create the possibility of the state seizing a child from his parents for the sake of gender transformation. From the story:

As for taking a child away from parents if they try to change their child’s sexual orientation or gender identity, Sciortino said state officials don’t break up families lightly, and that only in certain cases might it be necessary.

“That’s why we have judges and courts,” Sciortino said. “In this case, if somebody were being exposed to an abusive practice – in this case, abusive therapy – it makes sure that that child has the protection of the mandated reporter system, to see if an investigation is warranted.”

Do people think that this won’t happen to them? That their child would never claim trans status? That the state would never prevent them from getting medically valid therapy for the child? That the state would never take their child away so the child can be injected with hormones, and such?

Robotic restaurant servers are already here

For quite some time now we’ve been discussing the possibility that a steadily and rapidly increasing minimum wage could drive many employers, particularly in the food and beverage industry, to look at automation and robotics to replace human servers and other staff. At a meeting of the National Restaurant Association in Chicago this week that subject was prominently featured, but it’s no longer being spoken of in strictly hypothetical terms. One company already has robot servers on the job, working in conjunction with kiosks or tablets where customers can place their orders themselves. The future of server jobs is here and her name is “Penny.” (CBS Chicago)

CBS 2’s Vince Gerasole reports restaurant servers of the future may soon look like R2D2.

The restaurant world prides itself on the personal touch, but Penny, the robotic server, could be moving in.

“They are meant to help servers do a lot of the routine monotonous tasks they have to do,” explains Juan Higueros of Bear Robotics.

The robotic servers can carry orders to tables or bring used plates back and forth to the kitchen. The restaurant’s floor plan is pre-programmed into their operating systems.

Penny is named after the character on the television show The Big Bang Theory who worked as a waitress at the Cheesecake Factory. Watch her in action in this short video from the manufacturer, Bear Robotics.

The background on Bear Robotics is pretty interesting. It was founded by John Ha, who used to be an engineer at Google. He bought a Korean restaurant and quickly realized that he could be more efficient and profitable if he could automate a lot of the restaurant jobs. He created the robotic servers and formed Bear Robotics to provide them to the entire industry.

The problem for workers in the restaurant industry is that once the robotic genie is out of the bottle, it’s probably not going back in. Even if wage growth backed off and labor costs weren’t rising so steeply, the companies investing in this sort of technology have almost no incentive to turn back now. The only thing hindering the advancement of this technology in the past was the fact that human servers were cheap enough and the cost of automation was high. But once Penny is on the job, aside from a little downtime for maintenance and repairs, she’s ready to work every shift from here forward, never needing a break or a sick day. She doesn’t ask for a raise or go on strike for better conditions. And if the customers find the system appealing (or at least acceptable) then hiring more servers is pretty much a thing of the past.

I would miss the personal touch if this system came to our local, high-end eateries, but I’d probably get used to it eventually.

Spain’s government is on the verge of major upheaval

Most of the news out of Spain lately has centered on their problems with the runaway province of Catalonia and their secession-minded government. The recent Catalan elections didn’t alleviate that situation to speak of so trouble is still brewing in that region. But now, Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy has a new headache to contend with. Rajoy is the leader of the Popular Party (PP) leading the governing coalition in Parliament. Unfortunately, that party was just found guilty of financially benefitting from a massive graft scheme which channeled hundreds of thousands of dollars to their campaign coffers.

This has led the opposition Socialist Party to file a motion calling for a vote of no-confidence. If the motion carries and Rajoy loses the vote, he could be facing new elections two years early and an exit from his office. (Yahoo News)

Spain’s Socialist Party on Saturday pledged to hold new elections within months if its attempt to unseat Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy with a parliamentary no-confidence vote succeeds.

The country’s biggest opposition party, led by Pedro Sanchez, filed the motion seeking Rajoy’s ouster in the 350-seat lower house of parliament on Friday.

No date has been set for the vote, but the bid is being taken seriously in Madrid where a legislative election is not due for another two years.

The surprise move came a day after Rajoy’s Popular Party (PP) was found guilty of benefiting from illegal funds in a massive graft trial.

“The PP leadership is concerned and does not totally rule out that the number of votes needed to overturn the government could be found,” the La Razon newspaper, considered close to the PP, said on Saturday.

Here’s where things become additionally tricky for Rajoy. The PP coalition majority was never large to begin with and they’ve been losing ground lately. The corruption news sweeping the nation certainly won’t help that. In order to beat the vote of no-confidence, Rajoy may need to get the help of a new block of allies. But one of the only significant voting blocks up for grabs by either Rajoy’s PP or the Socialists is… guess who. The Catalan separatists and Basque nationalists.

How excited do you think the Catalan contingent will be about supporting Rajoy after he’s been busy throwing a bunch of their politicians in prison on charges of sedition following their independence referendum last year? If this motion to hold a vote of no-confidence goes through it’s expected to be tight, but there’s a very real chance that Rajoy could come out on the losing end. One other possibility is that new general elections could be called instead, and some of the other parties in Parliament are indicating they would prefer that choice to a vote in Parliament.

Of course, the last time Rajoy called for new elections they were only for Catalonia. That didn’t work out well for him at all. And after this new graft scandal, national elections might not go much better. It seems that the Spanish have joined the growing club of countries which have lived to see interesting times.

You Only Have To Smoke Cannabis Five Times Before Your Body Has A Terrible Reaction

While some believe that smoking cannabis is beneficial to the body and mind, new research suggests that the plant actually has unwelcoming side effects after it is smoked just five times. Scientists are now sharing that the drug, often smoked by youngsters, leads to mental health issues, even leading some to suicide. Researchers at the University of Oulo have concluded that these issues are more likely to occur if you start smoking at a young age, and the earlier someone is when they start smoking, the more likely they are to see these mental issues start to surface.

The news of this new research is aligned with the recent super-strength skunk that has flooded Britain’s illegal market, leading campaigners to emit caution.

In a landmark study conducted two years ago, skunk was responsible for a quarter of new cases of psychosis. This part of the drug is potent and has been linked to the study that associated cannabis to psychosis.

The British Journal of Psychiatry published the findings of the recent study after 6,000 volunteers were monitored from when they were 15 until they were 30 years old.

According to the estimates, one percent of the population suffers from psychosis, which includes severe distress, hearing voices, psychosis, and delusions.

“We found that young people who had used cannabis at least five times had a heightened risk of psychoses during the follow-up,” said PhD student Antti Mustonen. “Our findings are in line with current views of heavy cannabis use, particularly when begun at an early age, being linked to an increased risk of psychosis. Based on our results, it’s very important that we take notice of cannabis-using young people who report symptoms of psychosis.”

Mustonen’s is recommending that we strive to prevent the use of cannabis at an early age.

In a different study, there was a correlation between smoking cigarettes and psychosis. The study, which was published in Acta Psychiatrica Scandinavica, showed that teens who smoke ten cigarettes a day have a higher risk of developing psychosis, and this risk rises if the habit starts before the age of 13.

Professor Jouko Miettunen, who is leading the study, found that the risk is evident even when using other possible risk factors, including family histories.

“Based on the results, prevention of adolescent smoking is likely to have positive effects on the mental health of the population in later life,” said Mustonen.

There is also the fact that those with mental health problems are more likely to smoke.

“We need to do much more to encourage people with mental health problems to think about quitting and provide them with the help to do this,” said York University mental health lecturer, Ian Hamilton. “Smoking is one of the main reasons that people with severe mental health problems die decades before those who don’t, something that we can potentially improve.”

One commenter made a point about the impossibility of convincing cannabis lovers that the drug causes negative side effects…

“You will never convince cannabis fans of its downside. In itself, it may not be addictive but the feelings it creates are. They are addicts just like any other. I have known many cannabis users and all of them, even older ones, display symptoms of paranoia and “poor me” to a degree. What terrifies me is the number of people who are driving having smoked without any fear of the consequences.”

Hospital refuses to save twin infants, born premature, despite mother’s pleas

In a heartbreaking video released by Created Equal, Amanda, the mother of premature twin boys Emery and Elliot, can be heard pleading for her sons’ lives. In June of 2017, Amanda was experiencing bleeding when she went to Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, at 22 weeks and two days gestation. Medical staff informed her that if her babies were born before 22 weeks and five days gestation, they would not resuscitate them. Three days later, at exactly 22 weeks and five days gestation, Amanda gave birth to Emery and Elliot, and though the boys moved, breathed, and even cried, the doctors still refused to help them. “I pleaded with nurses and other hospital staff to help try to save my babies,” Amanda said in a statement. “I was told they would not survive. I asked if they would at minimum assess the babies after they were born to determine possibility of survival. I was informed NICU would not assess the twins and that the babies would probably be stillborn or at best breathe for a moment.”
