Two friends from South Africa share the Goldman Environmental Prize

Two women from South Africa who joined forces to stop a secret nuclear power deal between South Africa and Russia are among the seven recipients of this year’s Goldman Environmental Prize . The prize recognizes individuals who have stood up to vested interests, corruption, industry bullying and political repression to protect their communities and the environment.
